The only thing that makes a photo session better is when you get to capture one for your dear friends! This past weekend I had the pleasure of capturing a session for the Rolf family. I met this family about 5 years ago when my husband & I attended church one Sunday. Just some short time later, this family became like family to us. Of course back then, this family was much smaller as there were no kiddos present at the time, & Megan wasn’t even married to her hubby, Josh, yet. Needless to say, it was so much fun capturing this family session & the beautiful weather definitely added to it.
Paula contacted me a couple weeks before to see about setting up a family session bc she wanted to gift her Mom, Susie, with one for her birthday (how sweet!). When Paula mentioned that they had never had family pictures taken before, I was that much more excited to do this for them! They had an entire day planned for Susie’s birthday, with one being the family photo session that morning. Of course we had to do the session at Blandy Farm as it is beautiful there this time of year. Upon arriving I discovered a field full of white tulips that I immediately fell in love with. I knew this would be the perfect location towards the end of the session- and boy it was! I think the field of tulips fit little Hadley perfectly! There was so much that I loved about this session, but most of all I loved the warmth & silliness that this crowd brings. It’s never a dull moment when you hang out with these guys 😉
Susie, I hope you had a wonderful birthday & I hope you enjoyed your family photo session! Here were just some of my favorites…however, it was hard to pick 😉 Enjoy!
