I had such an amazing time with Robin & JW at Blandy Experimental Farm! This adorable couple has been together for TEN years! I am so excited to continue working with Robin & JW, as they will be planning to tie the knot in early October.

As I mentioned earlier in my blog post, it was a busy week for Brooke Danielle Photography! Due to all of the rain we had previously, I had 3 sessions rescheduled for this week. While we finally had some sunny (and very hot) weather, it was an interesting evening for Robin & JW’s engagement session. Before their session, I was actually out shopping for a new dress (yay!). While I was in the store about an hour before their session, I could hear rain heavily beating down on the roof. Was it really possible for it to rain this much? As I headed to my car & drove to our session location, JW was already there parked in his car. Robin was running a little late due to traffic, so we sat & watched the dark rain clouds start rolling back in around us. While watching the radar, we knew we had a 20 minute window before the next band of rain came through. As soon as Robin pulled in, THE worst thunderstorm whipped through! We had high winds & even some hail. Needless to say it was a little scary, but I felt so bad as Robin & JW had already arrived dressed and ready to go. We decided to wait out the storm, & sure enough at exactly 7pm (1 hour later) the rain cleared & the sunshine broke through. Not to mention, it also cooled down the temperature quite a bit! I was so glad that these guys were patient enough to wait out the storm with me!

Can I just say, isn’t Robin gorgeous? I also loved JW’s sport jacket & jean look 🙂 These two were so cute together, & I loved how Robin would keep playing with JW’s beard to try & get him to laugh. Robin warned me that JW would probably not smile for any pictures, however, I still managed to capture a smile out of him with some candid shots! I was determined to get a handful of him smiling 🙂 Putting that aside, I had such a great time getting to know this sweet couple. Robin & JW were so easy going, & it was fun for me to see Robin bring out that playful bond that they share.
