Bryn & Derek’s Engagement Session. Keedysville, Maryland

I had such an amazing time with Bryn & Derek for their engagement session this past weekend in Keedysville, Maryland! Between busy schedules on both ends, we were finally able to lock in a date before their wedding next month. The only problem? We had to schedule Bryn & Derek’s engagement session around 7:00pm, which did not give us very much daylight to work with. It was a little bit rushed considering that they had an outfit change, however, the positive side of it was that we were able to get a couple of awesome night shots at the very end. This is one area where I can really get my creative side going, which is what I love 😉

While conversing back and forth with Bryn regarding their engagement session, Bryn knew exactly where she wanted their session to take place. Just outside of Shepherdstown in Keedysville, Maryland was the most beautiful piece of property I have ever laid eyes on. It turns out that this was Bryn & Derek’s friend’s house, & I could definitely see why they chose this picturesque location! This historic home dated back to the late 1700’s, & sat on the most beautifully landscaped lot. Not to mention, this beautiful home had a double porch! If you know me well enough, you know I love my large southern porches 😉 I was so excited to capture Bryn & Derek’s session at such a unique location….AND the owners were generous enough to even give me a tour of the inside of their beautiful home 🙂

As much as I loved this location, let’s be real here- that isn’t the focus! So let’s get back to Bryn & Derek 😉 This adorable couple will be saying “I do” in just a few short weeks at the beautiful historic Boydville out of Martinsburg, WV. Just before their engagement session Bryn was texting me about how nervous she was for their session, while she also claimed that they were “awkward in front of the camera”. This was so far from the truth! Bryn & Derek had such a fun & natural way about them, & every time I guided them into the next pose they nailed it with such ease! Within just minutes of the session, these two were cutting up & full of laughter as if they forgot the camera was even there. Bryn & Derek are simply adorable together!

I had such a great time getting to know these two, & I cannot wait for their special day come September 24th. Hopefully the weather for their wedding day will be just as generous as it was for their engagement session 😉 Here are some more of my favorites from their session, below!
