There’s nothing I love more than reuniting with former clients. Almost a year ago to the day, I had the pleasure of capturing engagement photos for Devon & Carly. Now I had the great pleasure of capturing their maternity photos, & Carly was glowing! Needless to say I feel like this year is the year of the baby boom. Bring on the babies!

We decided to have their maternity session take place at our favorite location, Blandy Farm. Luckily the daffodil field was in bloom again just like it was for their session last year. It was a bit like deja vu, but that daffodil field never fails to disappoint for Spring portrait sessions. The weather was absolutely perfect, &  so was the lighting. I was so excited to have that warm glow towards the end of Carly & Devon’s maternity session. It always adds a little magic to the photos 😉

Carly & Devon will be expecting a baby boy named Kai, on May 1st. I’ll admit I was a little nervous about Carly scheduling her session so close to her due date, but thankfully baby Kai decided to stay just where he’s at. For those of you who don’t know, I had my own maternity photos done just ONE day before my daughter was born. With that being said my daughter was almost 3 weeks early, but even then it was cutting it pretty close. I was so happy that we were able to capture Carly & Devon’s maternity photos just in time, & I promised I would have them finished before Kai made his debut 😉

Carly & Devon, I know you are going to make fantastic parents! I am so excited to see pictures of your little man once he makes his appearance. I wish your growing, little family nothing but the best! It was such a great time getting to see the both of you again 🙂
