I couldn’t have been more excited to kick off my wedding season with Erin & Kendall at The Inn at Willow Grove! It had been almost two years since I last captured a wedding at this beautiful venue, but it is definitely one of my favorites due to it’s sophistication and southern charm. Saying that I was excited to be back was an understatement. I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to kick off my 2018 wedding season with.
Erin & Kendall are seriously one of the sweetest couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with. From our initial phone conversation, to their engagement session, all the way up to their wedding, they have been so much fun to work with. Of course I was excited that they were getting married at one of my favorite venues, but that wasn’t the only reason I was excited to work with them. Erin & Kendall’s fun demeanor & undeniable chemistry made my job behind the camera so easy. Not to mention, we had so much in common! I believe it was our shared love for the Redskins and Mexican food that brought us together, lol.
There were so many aspects of Erin & Kendall’s day that I loved. For starters, Erin & Kendall shared the sweetest first look! Kendall’s reaction to seeing Erin for the first time was priceless. They also shared their first look on the oversized front porch which also provided an amazing location for portraits! Since we began their portraits earlier in the day, the light was still a little too harsh for photos. Therefore the large porch provided the shade that we needed which resulted in the perfect lighting. Might I add, those porch columns made for some amazing camera angles 😉
Another reason why I love The Inn at Willow Grove is because of it’s beautiful ceremony location in the gardens. Erin & Kendall shared an intimate outdoor ceremony just as the sun was beginning to set. Afterwards it was the perfect timing to capture some “Just Married” portraits at the Inn’s overlook. The lighting was absolutely perfect, & it provided that beautiful golden light that us photographers strive to get. The only problem? It was tricky capturing the horizon in the background. So I may or may not have stood in the back of a Kubota…in a dress…to capture all of the desired pretty, lol. All in all, it was worth it! The golden light and picturesque location added even more of a romantic feel to Erin & Kendall’s portrait time.
Erin & Kendall’s wedding at The Inn at Willow Grove was everything and more. It was truly an honor & so much fun being able to capture this amazing couple. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Levy!
