One thing I love about the photography industry is the fact that there is always something new to learn. At the same time it can be a bit overwhelming, especially for beginners. Aside from capturing portraits and weddings, I love helping other photographers craft their skill. This is one reason why I am passionate about offering one on one coaching sessions. This past weekend I actually had the great pleasure of meeting up with a former BD Bride, for her own coaching session!
It was just last fall that I captured Laura & Nick’s wedding at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club. Who knew that we would be connecting again just months down the road for a coaching session! Laura is also a Nikon shooter, & is looking to jump start her photography business. Recently she has taken photographs for smaller events, but she wanted to dive deeper when it came to posing & lighting. We had such a great time learning more about these aspects of photography, but we also had so much fun just catching up! I think it’s safe to say that our hands on portion of the coaching session was the most fun & beneficial. Plus, I love to do portrait work whenever I can! So even I got to have a little fun by taking some headshots of Laura 😉
Here is a little sneak peek from our time together, followed with some interview questions from Laura herself.
