I had the most wonderful time capturing Anna & Jake’s intimate wedding ceremony at Sky Meadows State Park this past weekend. It seems that the rain clouds happen to magically disappear just when we need them to. It was certainly a hot August day, but with the low humidity & a little shade it made it at least a little more bearable 😉 Sky Meadows State Park made such a beautiful location for an intimate wedding ceremony such as this.
 Did you know that Anna & Jake actually met at a grocery store? How adorable is that? It turns out these two newlyweds are moving to Atlanta, Georgia THIS wednesday. I honestly don’t know how they looked so calm & collective with everything they have going on, but I couldn’t have met a more laid back couple. Anna & Jake were the absolute sweetest!
As soon as I arrived I was greeted with such warmth by Anna & Jake’s family. This was the first time I’ve captured a wedding where I hadn’t formally met the bride & groom before their wedding, but Anna & Jake acted as if we had been friends for a long time. Due to their laid back demeanor, their playful personalities & their chemistry, it played a huge role in how easy it was to capture the love between them. Anna & Jake exchanged vows among their closest family in an intimate wedding ceremony underneath the trees. The privacy that the ceremony location provided made it absolute perfection.
Anna & Jake both wanted a nature feel to their wedding day portraits, & Sky Meadows State Park offers so many beautiful views. We started at the ceremony location, while wrapping up at the Stone House which offers a beautiful view of the valley. Anna & Jake were such great sports while braving the heat & sun during our last portion of their portrait session, but I’d say it was well worth it 😉 I had such an amazing time cutting up with these two, while capturing the undeniable chemistry between them. Hello, I was looking for state parks to get married at and your session with Anna and Jake at Sky Meadows State park came up. It was from August 2018. The pictures were beautiful. We are just starting our exploration of venues and vendors. Do you know if they still allow small intimate weddings (15 people) at Sky Meadows State Park. Can you send me information about pricing for a wedding. Not sure if you price out a smaller wedding differently than a large wedding. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
