With Hurricane Florence making it’s way to the east coast, it was a bit of a stressful week leading up to Ana & Michael’s wedding at The Barns at Maple Valley Farm. Threats of major rainfall & flooding had us worried about making Ana & Michael’s day a success. A few days before their special day the hurricane’s path decided to shift more south, which left us with a much lower percentage of rain. Needless to say we were hopeful 😉

It turns out that we had an absolutely beautiful day for Ana & Michael’s wedding at The Barns at Maple Valley Farm. There’s no doubt that it was certainly a hot one, but we were thankful that we did not experience one drop of rain. I had my pink rain boots on standby ready to go, but they didn’t even need to make an appearance 😉 The Barns at Maple Valley Farm provided beautiful backdrops for Michael & Ana’s special day, & even the horses wanted in on some of the photos, lol. It was incredible being able to work with such an amazing team to make Ana & Michael’s wedding day a success.

To conclude I just have to say that there were a number of things that I loved about Ana & Michael’s wedding. Ana & Michael actually made a point to get married on Michael’s, parent’s, wedding anniversary. Michael’s father has passed, so it was such a special way to remember & honor his parent’s union. How amazing & special is that? In addition, Ana made such a beautiful bride. Ana’s wedding dress & shoes were simply stunning, while making it so much fun to photograph. The wedding party wore dusty blues which is one of my absolute favorite colors to incorporate into a wedding, & Ana’s daughter made the most adorable flower girl in her poofy dress. Most of all Ana & Michael had the best family & friends surrounding them on their special day. It was never a dull moment with this crowd, & they made capturing the day one that was full of joy.
