It’s not everyday that I get to capture a wedding on a Thursday afternoon. It definitely threw my week off that’s for sure, lol. However this past Thursday I had the pleasure of capturing Jessica & Justin’s special day at The Barns of Madison County out of Etlan, Virginia. Can I just say what a beautiful hidden gem this venue was? There was so much to love about this gorgeous Virginia wedding venue. With the sun shining down on the mountains as part of Jessica & Justin’s ceremony backdrop, it was absolutely breath taking.
Surrounded by their closest family & friends, The Barns of Madison County provided the perfect space for Jessica & Justin’s intimate wedding celebration. Jessica & Justin made photographing their special day so much fun (despite the heat!). Capturing their wedding even involved running into some old friends whom I haven’t seen in a few years. Jessica & Justin’s family were so warm and welcoming, & I thoroughly enjoyed hanging around this crew. Never a dull moment!
The mountains made such a beautiful backdrop for not only Jessica & Justin’s wedding ceremony, but for their portraits as well. I loved not only Jessica & Justin’s laid back demeanor, but their playful chemistry made photographing them such a breeze. Our only dilemma? We had to fight Justin’s beard for some of those romantic poses, LOL, but these two nailed every shot. I had such a blast working with Jessica & Justin, & their family & friends made it that much more entertaining. I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped make Jessica & Justin’s day so fun & special for them. You could tell just how loved these two were by the people who surrounded them on their special day.
The grounds at The Barns of Madison County were simply beautiful, & I hope to be able to to capture more at this unique venue in the near future. Here are just some of my favorite images that highlight Jessica & Justin’s special day.
