It was a beautiful fall day for Julie & Steven’s wedding at The Atrium at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. The air was crisp, the leaves were just starting to turn, & I had never seen a bride or groom so calm & collected. It was seriously the most perfect day, & I could not have been more happy for these two.

It was exactly a year ago when I first met Julie & Steven to capture their fall engagement session out of Great Falls, Virginia. It’s amazing to me that a year has passed by since I had last seen them, but as soon as we met up for their wedding day we picked right back up where we left off. I had such a wonderful time working with this adorable duo, as well as getting to meet their family & friends. This was another wedding where every family member and guest made you feel right at home.

The Atrium at Meadowlark Gardens held a special place in Julie’s heart. Julie’s childhood home was just down the street from The Atrium, & she would often go there with her family & friends to play while little kids. It was only appropriate that she get married back in her hometown where so many of her memories were made growing up. I just love it when my couples end up using a location that has sentimental meaning to them!

Julie was the perfect representation of a timeless, classic bride. I fell in love with her simple, yet very classy style. Julie’s wedding dress was so elegant as the long train trailed behind her. Her long veil was the perfect accent piece, & made for some absolutely beautiful portraits! Anyone who knows me well knows that I am a sucker for long veils- they’re just so GORGEOUS! Oh, and fun to photograph 🙂 I also have to add that Julie & Steven were also so much fun to photograph as they were both so photogenic, easy going, & most of all a blast to work with.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Kouril! Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your special day. It was truly an honor to be able to capture your love story.
