If Alex & Scott’s wedding at 48 Fields is even the slightest preview for what my 2020 wedding season is going to look like, it’s going to be pretty hard to top this year. With a 55 degree day in February, the most beautiful golden light for portraits, combined with such amazing company…you could not have asked for a better wedding celebration. Alex & Scott had me laughing the entire duration of their wedding day, & so much fun was had by everyone who attended. It’s so amazing when what I do doesn’t feel like work! It was truly an honor and privilege to capture such a joyous occasion.

The last time I ventured out to 48 Fields in Leesburg, Virginia, was about 5 years ago when I captured an engagement session for a former couple of mine. Back then 48 Fields was in the very beginning stages of being remodeled/built, so you can imagine my amazement when I discovered the final product. This Virginia wedding venue is truly a gem, & I was so excited that I now had the pleasure of capturing Alex & Scott’s wedding here.

The thing I loved most about Alex & Scott’s wedding was the genuine love they had for one another while, while making the Lord the center of their marriage. So much emphasis was put on Christ being the foundation of their marriage while it was evident in their wedding ceremony, during the toasts, and while witnessing the bridesmaids come together to pray over Alex just minutes before she walked down the aisle. It is evident how much Alex & Scott truly care for one another, & I love that they share the best sense of humor! I always said that you should marry someone who can make you laugh, bc after all laughter is the best medicine. I know Alex & Scott will have many years of love, happiness, & definitely laughter.
