After getting rained out the weekend before for Julie & Steven’s engagement session, we lucked out by rescheduling to the most perfect fall day. Colvin Run Mill was the perfect location for this beautiful couple! It turns out Julie used to be a tour guide for Colvin Run Mill, so she knew about this little hidden gem of a location. The fall leaves were on fire, & they looked stunning against Julie’s outfit selections. Can this beautiful fall weather just last a little longer before winter decides to hit?

As a Northern Virginia Engagement Photographer, we tend to get giddy this time of year. We notice every speck of color in the trees. If there is one tree on the property that has the most color, you can bet we plan most of our client’s session near that tree lol. There are many aspects that go into setting up that perfect photo, but it also helps when you have amazing clients like Julie & Steven. These two were so warm & friendly from the time we first met. Not only were their outfits the perfect color combination, but they were so fun & laid back. Even in heels and a skirt in the 50 degree weather, Julie handled it like a champ. Let’s not forget Steven who was the best sport through it all! He mastered every pose & did so with a smile on his face. This beautiful couple made my job so easy, & once again acted as a reminder as to why I love what I do 🙂
