This past weekend I had the pleasure of venturing out to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to Rock Creek Farm to capture Ericka & Garrett’s special day. I have to say this was my first time venturing out this direction to capture a wedding, but I always enjoy discovering new wedding venues. Rock Creek Farm was a beautiful wedding venue nestled in the countryside of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This large Gettysburg barn venue was certainly one of a kind, with it’s scenic views & rustic charm.
From the moment I met with Ericka & Garrett we just clicked. With them being Shenandoah University alumni, we had their engagement photos taken on there on campus. I had such a wonderful time capturing the playful chemistry between these two, I knew their wedding day would be nothing less than amazing. It’s hard to believe that was almost a year ago, and here their big day had finally come.
First I have to rave about how gorgeous of a bride Ericka made! Everything from her makeup, to her entire bridal ensemble was simply stunning. Ericka wore a beautiful long veil that although was a bit hard to manage in the wind, lol, it was completely worth it for their portrait time. Speaking of Ericka being a gorgeous bride, I have to warn you that I may have posted an abundance of bridal portraits on the blog. How could I not? This girl made such a beautiful bride!
It was a beautiful June day for Ericka & Garrett’s wedding. Luckily the constant breeze kept us cool, and the storms managed to miss us during portrait time. The day could not have been anymore perfect. I loved Ericka & Garrett’s playful demeanor. I loved how emotional Ericka got when she saw her groom for the first time. I loved the unique details they incorporated to make this day their own. I loved the surprise dip at the end of Ericka & Garrett’s first dance, & I loved how these two were up for just about anything 🙂 Again, I had such a wonderful time working with this lovely couple. Ericka & Garrett made everything so fun & so easy, & it was truly a pleasure capturing their big day.

The pictures were very well thought out, I really like how the first look from Garrett looking at his beautiful bride to be. Capturing the picture with mom helping the way it was years ago. Capturing all the special moment of them with all the different pretty back drops there were on the properties. I really like the picture how all the men were scattered around just looking off there own way. What a beautiful couple to photo shoot.
