I always love a beautiful fall wedding here in Virginia. The leaves have started turning over the last week providing us with the crisp fall air. It seems like yesterday since I captured Courtney & Garrett’s engagement session last November, & now their fall wedding at Old House Vineyards has finally arrived. You could not have asked for a more beautiful day celebrating these two. It was truly a memorable celebration!
Any Harry Potter fans out there? Turns out the bride & groom are huge Harry Potter fans & had their entire wedding Harry Potter themed for the occasion. This was definitely a different style than what I was used to when it came to capturing the bridal details, but I was soaking it all up! The black & gold accents really provided a rich & classy look, & I was quite obsessed with the gold ring box! Courtney had the most creative vision to bring this Harry Potter themed wedding to life. Everything was so tastefully done & it made capturing it so much fun.
Courtney & Garrett shared a first touch before their intimate wedding ceremony. I loved capturing the playfulness between these two. Courtney had the best laugh & the most infectious smile. Garrett had Courtney laughing & smiling the entire duration of their wedding day, which was a perfect representation of their special day. This wedding celebration was full of love & joy as they celebrated amongst their family & friends.
One thing I love about Old House Vineyards is it’s absolutely gorgeous ceremony site. Nestled on it’s own little island, it provides the perfect picturesque location for exchanging vows. Courtney was absolutely stunning as she made her walk down the aisle with her veil blowing in the breeze. As Courtney glanced over at her father she had tears in her eyes, as did Garrett when he saw his beautiful bride. I don’t think there was a dry eye amongst the family & bridal party.
The evening wrapped up with dinner & dancing under the pavilion. Garrett kept everyone chuckling on the dance floor, & the Maid’s of Honor presented a surprise “rap toast” which gave everyone a good laugh. There was never a dull moment with Courtney & Garrett’s wedding. To top it all off, we ended with a magical sparkler exit. It was truly an honor to capture such an amazing wedding with such amazing people. Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Utterback!
