I first met Tiffany a few years ago when a mutual friend recommended her to style my hair. For those of you who don’t know, Tiffany is an amazing hair & makeup artist with her own business, TDR Artistry. Over the years I have done family portraits & headshots for Tiffany, so when she contacted me to capture her wedding, I was ecstatic! Not to mention, I knew she was going to make the most gorgeous bride! I was so happy for Tiffany & Joe to start this exciting journey together.
It turns out that two fools who fell in love, just happened to get married on April Fool’s Day 😉 I had such an amazing time capturing Tiffany & Joe’s rustic yet vintage style wedding at Cloverdale Barn. I will admit this past weekend was a bit of a whirlwind for me as this was the weekend we had family over to celebrate my daughter’s 2nd birthday. However it was nice for me having two different celebrations take place in one weekend! The weather was beautiful, & Tiffany’s wish came true which was to be able to have the ceremony outside. To my surprise, we even had some cherry blossoms trying to pop through in the background of some of the bride and groom portraits. Tiffany fashioned a elegant fit and flare styled gown designed by Allure, complete with a vintage bird cage veil. She stated that she desired for her style to be one like Audrey Hepburn, & I think she succeeded at that quite well 😉 The bridesmaid dresses were actually designed & made by one of the bridesmaids, herself! I was in awe, & actually wanted one made for myself! Yes, they were THAT pretty. On a side note, be sure to check out Mimi’s store, here! The groomsmen sported navy tuxedos, suspenders, & of course pink bowties 😉
A beautifully decorated arbor with florals & a classic chandelier awaited the bride & groom to exchange vows. Tiffany’s adorable maltese, Lilly, led the way down the aisle right before Tiffany was escorted & given away by her brother, Brandon. Joe’s face completely lit up as he saw his beautiful bride up close for the first time. After exchanging vows they partook in communion together, then incorporated the “Cord of 3 Strands” into their ceremony. Once Tiffany & Joe braided the 3 strands together, they were then pronounced husband and wife as cheers were heard with laughter being shared. Again, this is one of my favorite parts to capture on the wedding day!
For Tiffany & Joe’s portrait time, I wanted to take them somewhere a little more private. As we were down in the field we had quite the audience during cocktail hour, so I decided to switch gears a bit. Instead of taking their portraits near the barn, we made our way towards the front drive of the venue (this was also the owner’s home). Luckily, the owner’s didn’t mind & it made for BEAUTIFUL location! Remember those cherry blossom trees I was talking about? Even though they were barely blooming, you could still see them in the background of a few of their photos- perfect! The owner’s stone home made for a beautiful backdrop which switched up the scenery a bit, and we had the most beautiful soft light to work with. I remember I kept telling Tiffany & Joe, “Ok, just one more. I promise!” and anyone who has been clients of mine before knows that I always say that, & end up taking a few more 😉 I was having such a great time capturing the chemistry between these two, & they made it OH so easy!
Tiffany & Joe, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your special day. It was truly an honor to be able to celebrate with you. I hope you guys have an amazing honeymoon in the carribean, & I wish you nothing but the best as you begin your new adventure together!
ENJOY!
