One of my former, super sweet BD Brides, Chrissy, referred Britney to me for family portraits. Britney was actually a bridesmaid in Chrissy’s wedding, so I had the pleasure of meeting her before their family session this past weekend. The Beinstein family was actually driving from York, Pennsylvannia so we decided to meet halfway at the beautiful Cunningham Falls State Park in Thurmont, MD. It turns out that Chrissy & Britney used to go here often as kids, so Britney was already somewhat familiar with the area.
Luckily we still had some gorgeous fall color on the leaves. It was so beautiful up on that mountain, & it made me wish even more so that the fall color would last at least one more month. Upon arrival, Britney mentioned taking a short little hike to the falls for their portraits. Of course I was all for it, but I was amazed that they wanted to attempt this with young kids in tow. Kuddos to them, because if it were me I would not have been that brave- lol.
Long story short, our hike to the falls turned into quite the adventure once we arrived. Between climbing over bridges, crossing over the creek by the way of slippery rocks, walking across logs, getting our shoes wet, almost getting lost, and braving the 30 degree temperatures…this family deserves all the recognition & praise. I was amazed at how easy going Britney & Ryan were, even when the kids started to get antsy (and rightfully so!). In the end, we ended up getting some amazing portraits, & these kiddos were just too cute for words.
Thank you Britney & Ryan for being such rock stars during our time together. I had such a great time exploring with you guys! Here are some of my favorites from our time together.
