What a beautiful weekend we had for Erin & Richard’s Shadow Creek Farm Wedding! This equestrian barn wedding was one of a kind filled with beautiful rustic details, and it even came complete with a real horse 😉 The day was surrounded by family & friends who witnessed Erin & Richard exchange vows on a beautifully decorated patio that overlooked some of Loudoun County’s finest countryside. The only thing that would have made this day better, would have been some more cloud cover 😉 Needless to say, we did have a gorgeous day to help us celebrate this joyous occasion!
Most of you don’t know the story of how Erin & Richard’s fairytale began. I learned of this story while capturing their engagement session back in the Spring, & I do have to say that as comical as it is I feel it is most definitely a “God thing.” On a side note, let’s see how good my memory is. Erin, please correct me if any of these details are wrong! Erin decided to go out one night with some friends to Bar Louie. While dining there, a gentleman whom I think had a little too much to drink decided to take interest in Erin. There was another man sitting next to her, & Erin quickly turned and asked if he wouldn’t mind pretending to be her boyfriend in hopes to get this other guy off her back. Little did she know that this “pretend boyfriend” would be her future husband. Long story short, the plan was a success & they ended the night by parting ways (I don’t even think they got, or remembered each other’s names). Some time went by & Erin decided to try Match.com. I honestly forget who found who, but both Erin & Richard were on Match.com at the same time. They immediately recognized each other by their pictures, messages were sent, & the rest is history 🙂 Now, you can’t tell me that’s just coincidence!
Erin & Richard, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your special day. It was such a privilege being able to meet your family & friends, while also getting to witness all of the love & genuine care that others have for you as a couple. The words spoken in everyone’s speech (even Jackson’s!) just went to express that so much more. I wish you nothing but the best, & may God richly bless your marriage as you start this crazy journey as husband and wife. I hope you enjoy looking through some of the highlights from your special day!
*Special thanks to my 2nd shooter, Sean Pullen, for capturing the photos of the groomsmen as well as various angles/shots throughout the day!
