Let's connect!

It has truly been an amazing year for Brooke Danielle Photography. A little crazy, lol, but after 16 weddings, 36 sessions, & everything in between I have learned what I am capable of as a person & as a photographer. Just being completely honest, this is the first year my business has really taken off. When I first started photographing weddings 3 years ago, I started with 5 weddings. Last year, I had 7 weddings. I guess you could say the third time (year) was a charm bc for the first time I felt like a full time wedding photographer with 16 weddings. I can’t help but thank the Lord for blessing me not just with business, but for blessing me with the most AMAZING clients who were such a joy to work with, & who continue to refer me to family & friends. I cannot thank you enough for your support- THANK YOU. I want to thank my 2nd shooter, Sean, for your hard work and dedication. I could not have stayed sane without you this year, & your talent means more than you know. Lastly, I want to thank my hubby who has been so supportive of me & has been my saving grace when it came to watching our baby girl on all those long Saturdays while I was away pursuing my passion. I could not run this business without you, & for you I am grateful.

I can recall so many fond memories from 2016. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some amazing people, while becoming friends with some of my clients & staying in contact with them. I also had the privilege of meeting another fellow photographer whom I became friends with, & now we chat almost everyday! We even had a girls day out just a few weeks ago in downtown Alexandria. Brittany, I value your friendship so much 🙂 I’ve also had the privilege of connecting with other talented people in this industry, & it has been awesome working alongside of them. This is all the more reason why I love what I do. It’s more than just capturing those beautiful images. It’s about getting to meet and connect with other people. It’s about getting to know your client’s love story, & learning what it is that makes them unique. It’s about making your clients forget they’re in front of the camera, so that they feel like they can let loose & have fun- because we DO have fun! 🙂 It’s about going that extra mile to get that perfect shot, even if it means dodging cow pies & being stared down by cows 5 feet away (yes, that actually happened). I have also enjoyed witnessing such tender moments this past season. I’m not sure what it is, but ever since I had my daughter almost 2 years ago I cry over everything! I caught myself getting teary eyed so many times behind the camera this year, & it was such a privilege being able to capture such beautiful moments. As I went through all of the images from 2016, it was bittersweet to say goodbye to such an amazing year. I wish I could sit down and type what I loved about each wedding I captured, bc every wedding I captured this past year holds a special place in my heart (all for different reasons). There were so many images that I cherished & loved, which made it hard to narrow it down for the blog post. However, for those that know me well enough know that I still post a TON of images on the blog. With that being said, here are some of my favorite images from 2016. Thank you guys again for such an AMAZING year, and now here’s to 2017!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of catching up with the Blanton Family at the Historic Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg, Virginia. You have no idea how amazing it felt to pick my camera up again since COVID19. I was so glad that we were able to capture their family photos before their son, Kenny, […]

I can never stress enough to my clients how important it is for them to fully trust their wedding photographer. It should be pretty simple, […]

I had the absolute best time with Melissa & Brendan for their engagement session this past weekend at East Lynn Farm! It was nice to see Melissa again after all these years as our families grew up together in the same church. When Melissa reached out to me by email regarding her wedding, I was […]

If Alex & Scott’s wedding at 48 Fields is even the slightest preview for what my 2020 wedding season is going to look like, it’s going to be pretty hard to top this year. With a 55 degree day in February, the most beautiful golden light for portraits, combined with such amazing company…you could not […]
