Let's connect!

We had a wonderful time in Emerald Isle last week for our family vacation! I would be lying if I said I wasn’t excited to put my camera to good use 🙂 Emerald Isle is such a beautiful area, & my favorite part about it is that it isn’t super commercialized. It was perfect for relaxation, & that was just what we needed. If you want to read more about our Emerald Isle vacation, be sure to click here!

One person who came on this family trip with us was my cousin, Melissa. This girl is practically like a sister to me, and we’ve made so many memories growing up. Melissa was one of the first ones who acted as a model for me when I first started out with photography. Thankfully, Melissa is still willing to model for me when I feel like playing around with my camera 🙂 Seeing that we were on this beautiful beach in Emerald Isle and that we practically had it all to ourselves, I was determined to get in a portrait session. Wednesday was the prettiest day that we had, so we decided to slip out just before sunset to tackle some beautiful images. Luckily, my cousin is pretty gorgeous too….so that helps 😉 I only wish we would have started a little bit earlier as the sun always goes down faster than I anticipate! Melissa & I had such a great time capturing these images. Much of the laughter that you may see in these images are genuine, as I kept blurting out inside jokes of ours to make her laugh. What can I say, it’s never a dull moment when we are together. With that being said, my cousin really should be a model. Seriously.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of catching up with the Blanton Family at the Historic Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg, Virginia. You have no idea how amazing it felt to pick my camera up again since COVID19. I was so glad that we were able to capture their family photos before their son, Kenny, […]

I can never stress enough to my clients how important it is for them to fully trust their wedding photographer. One key part of trusting your wedding photographer is acquiring the confidence in their decision making for your portrait locations. Some may question, what exactly do you mean by this? It should be pretty simple, […]

I had the absolute best time with Melissa & Brendan for their engagement session this past weekend at East Lynn Farm! It was nice to see Melissa again after all these years as our families grew up together in the same church. When Melissa reached out to me by email regarding her wedding, I was […]

If Alex & Scott’s wedding at 48 Fields is even the slightest preview for what my 2020 wedding season is going to look like, it’s going to be pretty hard to top this year. With a 55 degree day in February, the most beautiful golden light for portraits, combined with such amazing company…you could not […]
