It was a beautiful day for Kristy & Nathan’s Berkeley Springs wedding this past weekend! It wasn’t all that long ago that I captured maternity photos for Kristy & Nathan, so when Kristy contacted me regarding their wedding I was beyond excited! It also gave me the chance to meet their son, Wyatt, who was the ring bearer. Talk about a little ham! I could not get enough of this little man’s cheesy grin all day long.
Tucked away in the mountains of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia was the most adorable little country church. Decorated with deep greens and purples, Kristy included so many intimate details into their day. Kristy had her bouquet wrapped with a picture of her dear father, whom she lost not too long ago. As part of her accessories she wore a green pendant necklace that her Father gave to her Mother. Come to find out Kristy’s Father gave her Mother the necklace because it displayed Kristy’s birthstone. How special it was that Kristy had the opportunity to wear the necklace on her wedding day- and ironic that it matched her wedding colors! Kristy & Nathan made a point to include her Dad in many areas of their wedding day, & it was truly touching to see.
It was a beautiful Spring day in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. At times it was a little windy, but it also made for some beautiful bridal portraits 😉 Kristy & Nathan decided to share a first look, so we captured all of their photos outside the church grounds. It was a beautiful setting, although we did have to dodge the cemetery out back lol. This is when paying attention to your surroundings and working your camera angles came in handy, lol. Due to the time of day we also had some harsh sun working against us, but we were still able to get some stunning portraits with the little shade that we had.
What an amazing day we had celebrating Kristy & Nathan! Here are just some of my favorites from this beautiful wedding celebration.
