Today I am so excited to share Hailey & Kameron’s Virginia lake wedding from this past weekend. Emery Point on Lake Anna is the perfect location for any lake lover to say “I Do”. With panoramic views of the water, it’s hard not to fall in love with this gorgeous location. As a lake lover myself, I can’t help but soak every bit of it in.

This past Saturday was actually the first time I had ever met Hailey & Kameron, as they now live in South Carolina. There must be something true about that southern charm, because from the very beginning Hailey & Kameron had such a warm demeanor about them, & they made working with them so much fun! I loved how they felt comfortable enough to be their silly selves in front of the camera, & because of this their chemistry was easy to capture. I had such a wonderful time celebrating with not just Hailey & Kameron, but with their family & friends as well.

There was so much that I loved about Hailey & Kameron’s Virginia lakeside wedding. From the beautiful views, the friendly company, their adorable dogs who made the best flower girl & ring bearer, the glitter hairspray in Hailey’s hair (I never knew this stuff even existed, lol) the wedding details, the candid moments that I was able to capture, & most of all the laughter that was shared. There was also another part of their day that I was especially excited about- Hailey & Kameron’s lantern release.

I had never captured a lantern release before, so I was really looking forward to capturing something different than a sparkler exit! My 2nd shooter, Oscar, & I went over multiple times about how we were going to master this shot. Sure enough, Hailey & Kameron’s lantern release ended up being some of my favorite images. Please forgive me for oversharing them at the end of this post, but I had a hard time deciding which ones to use as I felt that each image told a story. Needless to say, they turned out so magical! Thank you Hailey & Kameron for trusting our vision, & most of all thank you for allowing us to capture something so incredibly beautiful 😉
