Fox Meadow Barn. Rachel & John

There are some weddings that just tug on your heart strings more than others. This was a very special wedding in particular that took place at Fox Meadow Barn in Winchester this past Friday. Rachel & John were united in marriage amongst their family & friends, whom were an amazing group of people who supported & loved them dearly. One reason why this union was so special was because it involved a dear family that I have known for years. The Beachy family & I grew up in church together, as I have known the Beachy family since I was just 2 years old. I specifically remember a time when Rachel was around 3 years old. She was sitting in the backseat of their vehicle as my mom and I ran outside to meet up with them. When my mom opened up the car door, Rachel had the absolute cutest grin on her face. She was the most adorable little girl with dimples when she smiled, and that is how I have always remembered her. I write all of this to say that it was such an honor to be there for this special family on Rachel & John’s special day. Who would have thought 30 something years later, I would be photographing her wedding.

Rachel & John had a joyous union at Fox Meadow Barn. There were so many tender moments between the First Look with Rachel & her Dad, John’s initial reaction when Rachel walked down the aisle, & the surprise Lullaby that Rachel’s Dad played as their first dance song. In addition to the tender moments, the evening was also full of laughter. John had me cracking up the entire day which included the Shoe Game, his killer dance moves, & just his overall sense of humor. Rachel & John make quite the perfect pair, & I’d say he fits in with the Beachy clan just fine 😉

We were a little concerned in regards to the weather, but I got down on my praying knees & prayed hard for some breaks in the rain. Despite the damp conditions, Jesus answered prayer & the rain held off for the ENTIRE duration of portrait time! I think the sun even decided to peak out for a little bit. It was truly amazing how everything & everyone came together for this sweet couple. Rachel & John truly had a memorable day at Fox Meadow Barn this past weekend, & it was such a pleasure being a part of it.
