There are wedding days that linger in your mind long after you’ve packed up your gear—and Annie and Andrew’s fall wedding at Castle Hill Cider in Keswick, Virginia was absolutely one of them. These two were, hands down, one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever had the honor of photographing. Their entire day was the perfect recipe for a November wedding: golden light, warm fall colors, meaningful details, and the warmest fall day you could hope for.
Annie and Andrew’s wedding was woven together with moments that made your heart pause—in the best way. From the very beginning, there was such a deep presence of love and intentionality. One of the most emotional moments was the prayer the bridal party spoke over Annie before the ceremony. Surrounded by her closest friends, Annie sat with tears gently falling as they prayed for her marriage, her future, and the incredible man waiting for her at the end of the aisle. It set the tone for the entire day—purposeful, heartfelt, and full of gratitude.
Another unforgettable moment was the custom oil painting Andrew gifted Annie. This wasn’t just any painting—it was a mental snapshot of the exact way he saw her on their first date. Andrew secretly worked with an artist, sending her photos of the restaurant where they met, along with images of Annie from their engagement session, to make the painting as accurate and meaningful as possible. The thoughtfulness behind this gift left everyone speechless.
And to make it even sweeter? Annie wore the same outfit to their wedding rehearsal that she wore on that first date. A full-circle detail you couldn’t script any better.
One little star of the day who deserves her own spotlight was Harper—Annie’s niece and the most camera-loving flower girl I’ve ever met. She had the biggest personality, the warmest smile, and absolutely undeniable chemistry with her aunt. The bond between Annie and Harper was so visible, overflowing in every photo. Whether she was twirling, posing, or wrapping her tiny arms around Annie, Harper brought pure joy to every part of the day.
Throughout the entire wedding, it was clear that Annie and Andrew cherish their people deeply. Their love for each other radiated, but so did the love they poured into their families and guests. One of the most beautiful details of the entire celebration was the personalized letters they wrote for every single guest—waiting at each seat at the reception. In a world where couples are often swept up by timelines and logistics, Annie and Andrew chose intention. They made sure every person present felt seen, appreciated, and loved.
Castle Hill Cider was the dream backdrop for their fall wedding. The rolling Piedmont views, the rows of apple trees, the warm afternoon light spilling across the grounds—it all blended into a breathtaking canvas that reflected the softness and sincerity of their story. As the sun dipped and the golden hour embraced the ceremony, Annie and Andrew exchanged vows filled with gentle tears, laughter, and the kind of love that feels timeless.
Photographing Annie and Andrew’s wedding was more than an honor—it was a reminder of why I do what I do. Every detail of their day was filled with purpose. Every interaction overflowed with warmth. And every moment—from sentimental gifts to joyful tears to handwritten letters—wove together a story that felt truly sacred.
