What an amazing weekend we had celebrating Lorri & Brad tie the knot at Historic Jordan Springs! This was my first wedding for 2017, & it could not have gotten off to a better start. For it being the 25th of March, the weather was amazing with 75 degree temps & an overcast sky which is every photographer’s dream 🙂 Jordan Springs was also a new location for me, so I wanted to make sure I arrived early to get an idea of what I was working with. When I stepped inside the venue, I was in awe with the classy & vintage feel that it displayed. Not to mention, they have one of the largest front porches I have ever seen! Anyone who knows me well, knows that I love my wrap around porches. Must be my southern ways 😉
Lorri & Brad had decided ahead of time that they would be sharing a first look with one another before the ceremony. First looks are always my favorite for so many reasons (you can read more about that, here!), but it’s always fun feeling like you’re the paparazzi while witnessing some of the sweetest moments. Following the first look my dear friend & talented 2nd shooter, Brittany, & I captured Bride & Groom portraits followed with Bridal Party photos. I think the toughest part was having the girls tromp through the grass in their high heels (thank you ladies for being such great sports!) but they made it work & we had no falls or sprained ankles, lol VICTORY! That would also include myself, bc Lord only knows how clumsy I can be while photographing. In flats. 🙂
100 guests gathered for a small & intimate outdoor ceremony. Afterwards guests enjoyed cocktail hour until dinner was served. The reception was decorated with elegant white curtains, & beautiful blue uplighting throughout the room. The chairs were decorated with blue & silver bows. The night was filled with laughter & dancing. One of the most memorable moments of the night was when Lorri & her father shared their first dance, however, it was no ordinary first dance 😉 They thought they had everyone fooled by having a traditional father/daughter dance, but little did the guests know that Lorri & her Father broke it down on the dance floor halfway through! It was definitely the entertainment of the evening, & I was so glad to see that others were able to videotape that moment. Four different toasts were made by the bridal party members, & Brad’s brother made a toast that would bring you to tears. So much love was expressed for Lorri & Brad throughout their special day, & it was such a honor to be able to witness such a joyous occasion.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Brad Edwards! Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your special day. I hope you have an amazing honeymoon in Hawaii, & I wish you many blessings as you start this journey as husband and wife.
Enjoy!
