After months of attempting to schedule Justin & Leann’s engagement session, we finally pulled it off! Justin is in the Air Force & has been deployed for quite some time, so we were eagerly waiting his safe return. Leann then contacted me to set up their session. A week prior to our session, Leann had gotten her weeks mixed up, got her & Justin all ready for pictures, got in the car, drove about 10 min just to finally realize that she was a week ahead! Then a week later on the actual date of our session, about an hour before our scheduled time it rained harder than I had ever seen. We were pretty certain that it was going to be a complete wash out (plus there were tornado watches). I’m not sure what it is with me, photo sessions, & tornados, but they seem to follow me every time I have a shoot scheduled- lol. With Justin and Leann all dressed and ready to go AGAIN, we decided to take a risk & attempt the engagement session anyway. As soon as we arrived, the rain stopped, the clouds cleared, & by the end of the session we even had sun! We were so thankful that we gave it a try despite the weather conditions not looking very promising. We had such an awesome time walking around Harper’s Ferry (plus Justin & Leann had never been there before!) capturing their engagement photos. Harper’s Ferry is a place that never gets old for photo taking, & Justin’s military uniform towards the end fit right in with the atmosphere 😉 Justin & Leann are so adorable when they are together, & I can’t wait to see them tie the knot come late September!
Justin & Leann, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your engagement photos. You were both such troopers to endure the weather & all the WALKING (almost hiking) that we did! I hope you enjoy looking through your photos & I can’t wait to capture your barn wedding come September!
