I had so much fun catching up with these two last week! Meet Megan & Josh as well as their adorable pup Brantley who you will get to meet towards the end of this post 😉 Megan & Josh have been dating since high school, so it’s no surprise that these two are finally tying the knot! It all started when Josh asked Megan to be his girlfriend at the bus stop when Megan was in her sophomore year while Josh was a junior at Sherando High School. This was also where they shared their first kiss 😉 Who knew that years later Josh would be asking for Megan’s hand in marriage at the exact same spot he asked her out ….that’s right, at the bus stop 🙂 Now they are planning on a October 22nd wedding of THIS year!
Originally, we already had Megan & Josh’s session location picked out, & on the books for weeks. Our original date, we got rained out therefore forcing us to reschedule. In the meantime, I saw a post on Instagram that Megan had posted of their very first place that they had just gotten together. I was in awe at how beautiful the grounds were, & I text her immediately saying “How about we do your engagement session at your new place!?”. Not only because the location was beautiful, but I thought it would also be special for them to have them take place at their very first home together. Seriously you guys, this cute little cottage looks like something out of a magazine! Boyce is such a beautiful area surrounded by picturesque countryside & horse farms. Needless to say, it made me want to move out to the country that much more lol. The weather outside could not have been more perfect that day, as well as the AMAZING golden light that we had. It was so much fun capturing these two just being their goofy selves. We even incorporated some horses into the shots to add some fun & variety 😉
Megan & Josh, thank you so much for asking me to take your engagement photos. It was so great catching up with you, & I wish you two nothing but the best as you start this new chapter in your lives. Here are just a few of my favorite photos from the session. Enjoy!
