To kick off the month of September, it was certainly a beautiful day for a wedding at Historic Boydville in Martinsburg, WV. I absolutely fell in love with this southern styled wedding which was accented in mint & blush pinks. Everything about this wedding echoed class & sophistication. The Bride even wore a lacey pair of high heels that matched the bridesmaids dresses. Just before the wedding I learned that the Bride, Tina, is a huge history buff, so having her wedding at Boydville was such a perfect venue for her & Scott to exchange vows. Also, may I make note that Tina planned and created everything all by herself! I’m starting to think she should become an actual wedding planner 😉
Speaking of Tina being her own wedding planner, I was tickled bc when I arrived I found Tina setting up tables with her hair & makeup already done, walking around in her bridal robe, lol. This girl was on top of things even a couple hours before she would be saying “I Do”. The day ended up being a little crazy which resulted in me buttoning the last of Tina’s buttons on her wedding dress so that the bridesmaids could get finished getting ready (which was a sight, lol), but all in all everything worked out beautifully. Although it may have been a bit rushed, we still managed to have fun while capturing some stunning bridal portraits! Tina was such a beautiful bride wearing a princess style ball gown, & a traditional veil which covered her face.
The ceremony took place in front of Boydville Mansion, where the couple exchanged vows. Standing before family & friends in between the decorated light posts which were draped in flowers & glittery tulle which sparkled when the sun shined upon it. Following the ceremony the celebration continued on the back patio which was strung with lights hanging from up above. Heartfelt toasts were made, dinner was served, and Tina even requested to have a first dance with her new father in law (so sweet!). The night continued with laughter, dancing, & even a little corn hole! This was certainly one wedding that made you feel comfortable and at home.
Tina & Scott, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your special day! It was such an honor to meet your family & friends, as well as capturing the memories that were made. I wish you two nothing but the best as you begin this crazy journey as husband and wife. I hope you guys have an awesome honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico! In other wards, Tina, RELAX for a change 😉
