I wrapped up this past weekend by photographing one of my favorite little families. Actually, their family isn’t so little. We had FOUR generations present in one family photo session! How cool is that?! While capturing the Rolf family, I had such a great time laughing & catching up with these guys. Seriously, it’s never a dull moment when you hang with them!
Again, it was very cold for portraits. We had 4 kiddos to capture, & all of them did amazing despite the weather conditions. With them all bundled up in blankets to start, we went from being cold & not so sure about this whole “picture taking thing” to having a blast at the very end. All thanks to a blanket of leaves that were spread on the ground at our 2nd portrait location. We had such a great time playing & throwing the leaves. Before you knew it, our minds weren’t focused on how cold it was anymore. This is when some of my favorite portraits take place. Once we get all of our key shots, I love it when family sessions turn into a series of candid moments. Some of the best shots are the ones that you don’t see coming, & these kiddos were oh so cute to capture!
