This past weekend I had the pleasure of capturing the love between Natalie & Ryan at the Virginia State Arboretum. It was a perfect fall day, with the fall foliage starting to appear. The Virginia State Arboretum never disappoints this time of year, but I have to say it is quite beautiful year round. Natalie & Ryan chose this location as they loved what the Arboretum had to offer, while it was also a sentimental spot where her & Ryan would sit & chat for hours.

Once they arrived for their engagement session Natalie had her adorable pup, Watson, to be included in a few shots! Watson was so well behaved & I think he was starting to enjoy having his picture taken, lol. Watson may have stole the show for a few minutes, but it didn’t take long to shift gears with Natalie & Ryan’s playful chemistry. Before long, these two were interacting with one another in such a way that I did not even need to prompt them!

Towards the end of Natalie & Ryan’s engagement session we went to one of my favorite spots for golden hour. I always love an open field with that golden light as it always adds a sense of magic! Not to mention Natalie had the perfect dress for that autumn light. It’s safe to say this was my favorite portion of their engagement session, because you just can’t beat golden hour!

Congratulations Natalie & Ryan! I can’t wait to capture your special day in November 2022!

Then it was time for their outfit change, & the golden light appeared just in time! I knew this portion of Natalie & Ryan’s engagement session was going to be epic, so we spent a majority of our time at this location- and I’m so glad we did!

AHHHH, you guys are killing me!
