Emily & Jonathan. Bristow Manor

2022 Wedding Season has arrived, & what a unique way to start my wedding season- with snow! I could not think of a better couple to kick off this new year with at Bristow Manor. Emily & Jon were not only the absolute sweetest couple, but they embraced the frigid weather conditions like champs. In fact, they welcomed it! Emily was actually hoping for a wedding with snow, & she certainly got her wish! I was worried Emily & Jon would be worried about bracing the cold for portraits, but she made sure to inform me that they were not intimidated one bit. Snow portraits sounded delightful to me!

I do want to take a couple minutes & just say that my couples are simply AMAZING! When Emily should only be thinking about herself on her special day, she was thinking of others. When I arrived Emily greeted me with my favorite chocolates (Ferrero Rocher!), & what really impressed me was she remembered it was my toddler’s birthday that day. Emily gifted my little girl, Sarah, with the most adorable stuffed animal pup that looks just like our pup at home. I was so blown away by her generosity! Needless to say, Sarah loved waking up the next morning to a stuffed animal “Toby.” Thank you so much, Emily! Your kind heart does not go unnoticed.

Emily & Jon shared a first look outside Bristow Manor House. The lighting was still pretty harsh at this time, so we did a majority of their portraits on the front porch of the manor house. Their dog, Finley, even joined us for portrait time & he was the most adorable pup! Our goal was to arrive back at Bristow Manor after their ceremony to make it in time for golden hour. Surprisingly enough, we ran ahead of schedule the entire day! We made it for golden hour just in the nick of time, & those bride & groom portraits were everything! A combination of the golden light with the magical snow, it was a winter wedding dream. I was so thrilled that Emily & Jon got their wish for their January wedding!
