Who knew they would be calling for a winter snow storm the day before Ashley & Sean’s engagement session in downtown Harpers Ferry! Due to the unexpected weather we had to reschedule Ashley & Sean’s engagement session to the following day. Luckily we had sunshine & a beautiful blanket of snow which Ashley was super excited about. Even though most of the snow had already started to melt, it still looked beautiful on the mountains.
This was the first time I had met Ashley & Sean, as they will be hosting their wedding in November at Wild Goose Farm in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. Ashley wanted their engagement session to take place alongside the river, & I knew Harpers Ferry would make the perfect location. There are so many different locations in downtown Harpers Ferry that give you a wide variety of river views, & those always seem to be some of my favorite!
Despite the cold, Ashley & Sean were such a blast to work with. Not only were these two so down to earth & fun, but they were up for anything! I think it’s safe to say that we covered plenty of ground, walking, to explore some of the best portrait locations. Towards the end of their engagement session we even came across a handful of deer, who did not seem a bit concerned with our passing. I think Sean would have wanted portraits with the deer if Ashley would have let him, lol, but instead we finished up their session on the river with the sun setting directly behind them. The light was absolutely magical, & my favorite portraits of Ashley & Sean are towards the very end! Just wait until you see this magical glow that we were blessed with.
I am so excited to celebrate with these two come November. Congratulations Ashley & Sean!
You guys,… this glow!!
