Maria & Jonathan. Virginia Arboretum Engagement Session
Spring is almost here & the evidence of that is pretty clear with the start of my 2023 engagement sessions! Although it’s still bitter temperatures outside & the blooms haven’t quite made their appearance yet, the time for Spring weather is just around the corner. I could not be more ready to transition into this new season for a number of reasons. It is almost officially time to launch wedding season, & I am so looking forward to capturing stories & beautiful imagery once again. Until then, I had the pleasure of working with an adorable couple over the weekend. Keep reading!
This past weekend I kicked off with my first engagement session of 2023 with Maria & Jonathan at the Virginia State Arboretum. I have known Maria over the last couple of years as she has been my daughter’s at home tutor. When she asked about doing engagement photos for her & her fiance, Jonathan, I was thrilled! I was so excited for this opportunity, & also excited to meet this “mystery man” that she had been talking about lol.
Maria & Jonathan have been dating for 5 years. Little did I know that they had already been engaged for 2 years, but due to the fact that Jonathan is in the Marine Corps they’ve had to wait for the perfect timing to set a date. Speaking of perfect timing, Jonathan just happened to be home visiting which is how we were able to make their engagement session happen. Also, this was the first time him & Maria had seen in each other in a year! Having the opportunity to photograph their engagement session for them just made it that much more special. I was so glad that we were able to make this happen while Jonathan was home visiting, even if it meant bearing the cold, windy weather conditions. These two made it look so easy!
Congratulations Maria & Jonathan, I wish you a lifetime of blessings & happiness!
