I think it’s safe to say that I should be living in downtown Alexandria this given month! So many of my couples have been requesting engagement sessions in this quaint little downtown area, & honestly I understand why. If anyone has followed my blog in the past, they know that downtown Alexandria is one of my favorite downtown locations to photograph in. This location has so much sophistication & charm! Once Spring hits, the blooms line the streets & make it such a gorgeous photo destination.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of meeting with Julie & Brian for their engagement session in downtown Alexandria, VA. Luckily the rain held off during our time together, & the spring blooms were certainly showing off! Julie & Brian came dressed to kill, as their outfit selections fit that soft & romantic feel. While being in front of the camera Julie & Brian displayed such a playful chemistry. I think it’s safe to say that our time together was full of laughter, & these two photographed so natural together.

Normally when I photograph in downtown Alexandria, I have my “route” where I take my couples. I normally wait & take them to Founder’s Park last, as you would normally have the most gorgeous glowy light there at this time of the day (take note, photographers!). Even though the sun did not make an appearance for us, Founder’s Park was still the perfect destination to wrap up Julie & Brian’s engagement session. The small pathway that is lined with flower gardens always makes such a stunning location, especially given the outfit selections that Julie & Brian selected. I just couldn’t get enough of these two, and I am so excited to capture their special day in September!
