Wild Goose Farm. Shepherdstown, WV. Ashley & Sean

This past weekend I had the great pleasure of capturing a wedding that practically took place in my backyard. It’s always nice when you have the opportunity to work close to home, with this charming little venue just 6 miles down the road from my house. As much as I drive through Shepherdstown, WV I have never visited Wild Goose Farm. Even in November after all the leaves have fallen it is still quite charming & beautiful. Wild Goose Farm provides that rustic backdrop, while offering so much more in terms of it’s beautiful grounds, a large HEATED barn, & the perfect getting ready spaces for both the bride & groom. This wedding venue nestled in Shepherdstown, WV has so much to offer it’s no wonder Ashley & Sean chose this for their wedding celebration.

First I just have to state the obvious, it was a very COLD November day for a wedding. I’m still trying to figure out how Ashley & her bridesmaids endured the outdoor wedding ceremony. It’s safe to say that all of our toes were frozen by the end of portrait time, but you would never guess it seeing the excitement & positivity from everyone. This was such a fun group to work with, & even if we did freeze to death during certain portions of the day they did a great job of not showing it. Luckily, the barn was HEATED & the heat worked very well 🙂 Might I add, Wild Goose Farm provides a large, beautifully decorated barn to entertain their guests.

Ashley & Sean were the absolute cutest together due to their playful demeanor. Ashley was glowing, & whenever Sean would give her a flirtatious nuzzle Ashley had the best laugh. My camera was soaking all of this up as their natural chemistry unfolded. In addition, there were many things that I loved about Ashley & Sean’s wedding at Wild Goose Farm. I loved how Ashley’s dad wore a tie that displayed a picture of him & Ashley on the back. I LOVED Ashley’s absolutely stunning bouquet provided by the amazing Westvirjeni, & the incredible charcuterie table provided by Grazeful. I also loved how Sean danced with his grandmother at their wedding reception when no one was watching. Ashley & Sean’s wedding included an amazing team of vendors & some pretty amazing people altogether. Being able to be a part of this celebration was such a pleasure, & I am so thankful this couple trusted in me to capture this special day in their lives.
