A Washington D.C. Wedding. Margaret & Thomas

I could not think of a more fitting wedding celebration than the one that was held this past weekend for Margaret & Thomas. This adorable military couple exchanged vows in our nation’s capitol on the 4th of July weekend. How perfect is that? This Washington D.C. wedding was elegant, classic, & so very fitting to who these two individuals are. Due to being stationed out of state I had never formally met Margaret & Thomas until their actual D.C. wedding, however, these two are the kind of individuals who make you feel like the closest of friends the moment you speak with them. This was no different while documenting their special day & it was truly an honor serving them while capturing some of their most intimate moments.

Needless to say it was a typical hot, July day in our nation’s capitol for Margaret & Thomas’ Washington D.C. wedding. Despite the heat nothing could bring down the energy of this amazing crowd. Margaret’s classic bridal attire & Thomas’ uniform had me swooning during portrait time. After sharing an intimate first look in the courtyard at The Alexandrian hotel (seriously, check out the images!), we dashed over to Union Station to grab some portraits. I knew this setting would be absolutely perfect considering their classic attire with Union Station’s stunning architecture. Margaret had her bridesmaids go against tradition & wear white bridesmaid dresses, & I was loving this new look! The style & sophistication was so fitting for Margaret & Thomas’ Washington D.C. wedding & my camera was soaking up every minute.

As much as I rave about Margaret & Thomas’ style, these two had the most playful chemistry. As if Margaret wasn’t sweet enough, her bubbly personality came through so effortlessly. Margaret is the kind of person who has the most infectious laugh & as a result makes others smile when they are around her. That is what I found myself doing throughout the duration of their wedding day, but what I discovered the most is how much she would light up when she was around Thomas. These two complimented each other so nicely, while their images are proof of the love that they have for one another. Just look at the way Margaret gazes at Thomas! These two make the most perfect pair. I was honored to capture such a joyous union for such an amazing couple.
