I am so excited to share Emily & Derek’s wedding with you on the blog today which took place at the beautiful Keswick Vineyards! I have to admit that I have been longing to capture a wedding at this stunning Charlottesville wedding venue for quite some time. It was an absolute beautiful August day with perfect weather conditions, & we even had the most magical golden light to wrap up the evening. My drone was even able to experience the skies a couple times throughout the day, & with views like ones at Keswick Vineyards I knew I had to get my drone up in the air. Just how magical is this place?
Emily & Derek were as chill as they come. From the moment I arrived everyone was so warm & inviting. Ironically enough, I was able to see a lot of familiar faces as a former Bride of mine (from this year) was in the bridal party, while other guests in attendance were in other weddings I’ve photographed over the last year. It was like a mini reunion, & also a reminder of how much I love the people I am able to meet and work with along the way.
As if the grounds at Keswick Vineyards weren’t stunning enough, Emily was radiant in her Stella York bridal gown. Her long veil reflected the golden light so beautifully & added the most romantic touch to their golden hour portraits. The bridesmaids wore different shades of baby blue & green while holding the most gorgeous baby blue floral bouquets created by Good Earth Flowers (and they never disappoint!). Did you see Emily’s bridal bouquet? It was certainly everything & more!
After Emily & Derek shared their first look, we had the best time capturing their portraits at some of the most gorgeous locations around Keswick Vineyards. We were able to capture so much variety when it came to their portraits as it was so tough narrowing it down for the blog. However I’d say that’s a good problem to have 😉 I think it’s safe to say that my camera loved Emily & Derek, & their day couldn’t have been anymore perfect. It was truly an honor to capture their special day while celebrating alongside their loved ones.
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Hess!
