This past weekend I had the great pleasure of celebrating with Emily & Noah for their June wedding. These two selected the most charming Virginia wedding venue, Old House Vineyards, to exchange vows amongst family & friends. Every time I visit this Virginia wedding venue I am always in awe of it’s beauty, especially when it comes to the ceremony location. There’s always something romantic about a waterfront wedding, but even better when it’s nestled on it’s own small private island. Old House Vineyards makes for the perfect Virginia wedding venue if you’re looking for something intimate, unique, & of course picturesque.
The moment the wedding party arrived at Old House Vineyards, it began to pour down rain. We were anxiously watching the radar in hopes the skies would clear in time for Emily & Noah’s first look. Once Emily was dressed, she shared the sweetest first look inside the bridal suite with her Father. This sweet reveal brought tears to everyone’s eyes as Emily & her dad embraced. Tears came rolling down Emily’s cheeks almost instantly at the sight of her Father. Sometimes these father-daughter first looks get me more than the ones with the bride & groom!
It was time for Emily & Noah’s first look, & sure enough the skies were cleared. Making our way to the waterfront, Emily & Noah greeted one another for their first look. After a warm embrace they shared their own private, written vows to one another. Emily & Noah wiped their tears, embraced once more, & enjoyed having a private moment with each other before the day continued. We managed to capture some of the most beautiful portraits near the water, with their reflection dazzling all of us. Emily’s veil flew so effortlessly in the wind creating such romantic portraits.
Later that evening we were able to take Emily & Noah out for golden hour portraits. Of course these are my absolute favorite! The lighting was absolutely perfect while it made for the most romantic portrait time. Emily & Noah even had a confetti canon (thanks, Grant!) which made for some fun & amazing shots to wrap up the evening. Emily & Noah’s wedding couldn’t have ended on a better note. Also, did I mention that they had a Moo Thru Ice Cream truck on site? You bet we went and treated ourselves to some ice cream after golden hour! Emily & Noah had the best day & I was so excited to be there celebrating alongside of them, while documenting their love story.
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Kling!
