Caroline and Chris’ engagement session at The Virginia Arboretum in Boyce, Virginia was one of those evenings that reminded me why I love what I do.

The entire drive to The Virginia Arboretum was spent navigating a rainstorm. As I watched dark clouds roll across the sky, I fully expected a cloudy, damp session. But somehow, by the time I arrived, the weather completely transformed. We were greeted with beautiful blue skies and the most incredible golden light. It felt like the perfect gift for an already special evening.

From the moment we met, working with Caroline and Chris felt effortless. They are incredibly down-to-earth, kind, and easy to be around. Their Virginia Arboretum engagement session felt more like spending time with friends than work, and it quickly became clear that we had so much in common. Those shared connections made the entire experience even more enjoyable.

One of my favorite details from the session was Caroline’s dusty blue dress. It photographed beautifully against the lush green backdrop of The Virginia Arboretum and added such a timeless, romantic feel to their images. Combined with the glowing sunset, every scene felt straight out of a dream.

As we explored the gardens and pathways, I also learned a fun fact about these two: they will both be attending the World Cup this year! As huge soccer fans, they are excited to travel and experience such an unforgettable event together before their wedding.

Speaking of weddings, I am already counting down the days until Caroline and Chris say “I do” next spring at Lansdowne Resort. After spending the evening with them, I know their wedding day will be filled with laughter, joy, and meaningful moments.
