Last week I had the pleasure of meeting with another one of my 2022 wedding couples, Michelle & Zach, in downtown Harpers Ferry for their engagement session. This engagement session took some coordinating as both Michelle & Zach are currently residing in New York, but we scheduled a weekend when they were visiting to mark some “to do” wedding items off their checklist. Ironically enough Friday ended up being one THE hottest days we’ve had this summer, but thanks to a rain storm that rolled through prior to their session it managed to bring some cooler temps.
Michelle & Zach decided to use downtown Harpers Ferry for their engagementsession. This location showcases West Virginia’s true beauty, & also provides a romantic backdrop. In the beginning of Michelle & Zach’s engagement session, we started in the quaint little downtown area of Harpers Ferry. As we moved forward we made our way to the river which ended up being my absolute favorite spot for their engagement photos! The sun just happened to peak through providing just a bit of glow off of the water, & we practically had the river all to ourselves. I probably could have just photographed Michelle & Zach at this one location the entire duration, but I wanted to make sure we had enough variety as downtown Harpers Ferry offers so many great spots!
Despite the heat & the fact that Michelle was in a dress & Zach in a long sleeve shirt, these two were up for anything! To wrap up their engagement session I think it’s safe to say we did a little “hiking.” We made our way to Jefferson Rock, & by the time we reached our destination I believe we were all dripping in sweat (at least I know I was!). After taking a breather, we wrapped up our session on Jefferson Rock where again we had the most amazing views. So you tell me, which image is your favorite?
I can’t wait to celebrate with these two next October at Rock Spring Farm! Congratulations, Michelle & Zach!
