This past weekend I had the great pleasure of taking a little road trip down to Charlottesville to meet with Alice & Eddie, one of my 2022 couples. Alice & Eddie had their heart set on using the campus at the University of Virginia, as this is also where Eddie proposed! I could understand why these two wanted to use the campus not only for sentimental reasons, but also because of how stunning it simply is. The architecture alone was simply gorgeous, & everywhere you turned it proved to be a photographer’s dream. I had such a great time exploring the University of Virginia, & hope to visit again in the near future.

With beautiful weather most of the week, it would only make sense for the weather to not cooperate for us the day of Alice & Eddie’s engagement session. Checking the weather throughout the day, it was only reporting a small chance of rain. With dark, overcast skies we knew we would need to work efficiently incase the rain clouds decided to open up. Luckily when the rain graced us with it’s presence, we were able to move their engagement session underneath the Rotunda & the surrounding areas which provided ample coverings. I was so relieved that we had this location to work with given the weather!

I had such a great time getting to know these two! Despite the weather conditions Alice & Eddie were all smiles, & they were the most easy going couple to work with. I am so excited to capture them again at their wedding in October at The Market at Grelen! Hopefully next time we will have nicer weather 😉 Congratulations, Alice & Eddie!
